The AIMA laboratory mainly carries out theoretical research in the field of artificial intelligence.

The topics covered mainly concern deep learning, machine learning, data mining, statistical learning,

cognitive decision support systems, logic, research problems, etc.

In particular, it critically addresses the resolution of complex problems through the design of new algorithms and models,

carefully analyzing performance (from a theoretical and practical point of view), evaluating strengths and weaknesses, etc.

Although the main objective is theoretical research, methods, models, and tools specific to the sector are used

in multi- and interdisciplinary fields and applications, particularly in collaboration with companies and

within the framework of national, European, and international projects.
